Cars R US has operated for over 28 years in Lower Sackville and locally owned means we're part of the community, support local charities, and get involved in community events.
The annual tradition took place from late November through Friday, Dec. 14. The event's final day featured on on-site broadcast by media partner FX 101.9, refreshments, live music, Santa and bags and bags of toys being added to the pile under the tree.
All told, this year's haul was the biggest ever, requiring 10 van loads to transport it from the dealership to The Salvation Army's warehouse. The toys will be distributed to kids in need this week during The Salvation Army's Christmas support hamper distribution.
Thank you Cars R Us for this great annual initiative.
Denyse Sibley, right, of FX 101.9 interviews Janice Christian, a toy drive donor for the past five years, who contributed more than $4,000 worth of toys this year alone.
